I am always pleased to have the opportunity to support Northampton-based businesses in any way that I can, and so I was delighted to be asked to visit HORIBA UK’s Northampton-based factory on the Moulton Park Industrial Estate. 

On Saturday 29th July I attended the Royal Anglian Regiment’s ‘Talavera Day’ event in Northampton. The Royal Anglian Regiment is the British Army regiment which incorporates Northamptonshire.

I was delighted to visit the Good Companions Lunch Club at Broadmead Community Church recently at one of their fortnightly Wednesday sessions.

Good Companions is a lunch club for older members of our local community and was set up in 2017 to help reduce loneliness.

On Friday 21st July I had the pleasure of welcoming the Northampton-branch of The Prince’s Trust charity to a visit to the Houses of Parliament.

I recently had one of my regular meetings with the Leader of West Northamptonshire Council, Councillor Jonathan Nunn, in the Council offices at Angel Square, Northampton to discuss local issues that have been relayed to me by my constituents in Northampton North.

Following on from last month’s ‘Local Business Champion’ reception, I was invited by the Secretary of State for Health the Rt. Hon.

Regular readers of my news will be aware that I recently met the Northampton Litter Wombles in the Houses of Parliament to hear more about their work in the community.

I was recently invited to the opening of the St Thomas Centre in the grounds of Northampton’s Catholic Cathedral on Barrack Road.

The centre opened in September 2021, however Covid-19 restrictions unfortunately prevented a formal opening then. 

Basketball Northants is a voluntary organisation promoting the sport of basketball.

On Friday 30th June I was delighted to be invited to officially open the Sage Pharmacy at Christchurch Medical Centre on King Edward Road, replacing the previous Lloyd’s pharmacy.
