I recently had a meeting with the new Chief Fire Officer for Northamptonshire, Mark Jones, at the Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service’s (NFRS) headquarters in Wellingborough.
In the last fortnight I was very pleased to visit Blackthorn Primary School who have been given a ‘Good’ grading this year by Ofsted. This a huge achievement for the staff and pupils of the school and a proud moment for all concerned.
I recently made my first speech as a full Backbench MP in the House of Commons in some 10 years in support of the Counsellors of State Bill. The Bill increases the number of members of the Royal Family who can stand in for The King for official duties.
