I am always pleased to have the opportunity to support Northampton-based businesses in any way that I can, and so I was delighted to be asked to visit HORIBA UK’s Northampton-based factory on the Moulton Park Industrial Estate.
HORIBA UK is the UK branch of a long-established Japanese company specialising in the development of future technologies and scientific instruments for measurement and analysis, such as automotive Research and Development, processes, environmental monitoring, in-vitro medical diagnostics, semiconductor manufacturing and scientific measurement instruments. The company is recognised as an industry leader in future technologies and the products which they produce.
I had a tour of the expansive facilities by the President of HORIBA UK, Stuart Knight, during which we discussed Government support for the sector and investment into sustainable technologies. The Company employs over 200 people in Northampton and is looking to expand.
I welcome the Prime Minister’s focus on future technologies and efforts to make the UK a tech superpower by supporting our flourishing tech sector through renewed investment into supporting businesses that manufacture pioneering new technological developments.
I was very pleased to see such an established business based in my constituency that works on such cutting-edge technologies.
