On Monday, 11th May, the Government released a new 50-page document that outlines in detail the Government’s approach to dealing in the longer-term with Covid-19. 

Our Plan to Re-Open Schools

In the House of Commons on Wednesday 13th May 2020, the Secretary of State for Education, Gavin Williamson MP, reiterated how his Department have “worked closely with all the teaching unions and headteachers’ unions and with the sector”. 

Furlough Scheme Extended Until October

The furlough scheme – or the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme – is a Government scheme to help people keep their jobs whilst they are unable to work due to the Covid-19 outbreak. Currently, furloughed workers across the UK receive 80% of their salary, up to £2,500 per month, from the Government.
