Being a police officer is an extremely difficult job that is vital to wellbeing of our community. I believe that recognising the contribution of the men and women of Northamptonshire Police in protecting all of us is important.
I was thus pleased to nominate a serving police officer to attend a reception at 10 Downing Street hosted by the Minister for Security, the Rt. Hon. Tom Tugendhat MP.
I nominated Northamptonshire Police Constable Lewis Patterson, who has been commended for his role in ‘Operation Revive’, a targeted partnership and neighbourhood policing operation in a high crime area of Northampton.
I very much enjoy the opportunity to invite people from Northampton to visit Downing Street and celebrate their contributions, and I hope to continue to invite admirable individuals who uphold a positive role in the community to Downing Street in the future.
