My right hon. Friend is certainly right that it creates an immediate economic shock.

That is what we all want to do. These measures will work; the reality is that they follow the mechanism outlined in the 2018 Act.

I must make some progress. Around half of Russian trade, as I have said, is denominated in dollars and sterling.
