On Friday 21st April I visited Piroto Labelling, a Northampton-based business in Moulton Park Industrial Estate which makes bespoke labels and tags for commercial businesses.
The business, which started in 1973, makes a wide variety of labelling for products, ranging from food and drink, pharmaceuticals and stationary with over 50,000 combinations of materials, inks and finishes.
During my visit I was given a tour of their premises, saw the complex machinery that creates the labels and had the intricate manufacturing process explained to me. I also discussed with members of the staff the business’ fundraising activities to raise money for the Cynthia Spencer Hospice as well as the Government financial support for small and medium-sized businesses.
I am always keen to support Northampton-based enterprises, and I was very pleased to visit Piroto Labelling and have the opportunity to witness their operations in action during their 50th anniversary year.
