In my capacity as the Member of Parliament for Northampton North, I receive many emails and letters from constituents who want help with such things as fly-tipping in their area or with litter in the street where they live.
I am happy to act in these matters, and do so very regularly, but I thought it might also be helpful to give some information about how residents can report these matters to the Council directly.
If you do have such issues in your area you can report the problem to Northampton Borough Council (NBC) quickly and efficiently either through the Council’s App or through their website.
To report an issue online simply click on the following link: http://selfserve.northampton.gov.uk/mycouncil/reportIt.html.
You will need to:
1) Select the problem you want to have resolved from the drop down list.
2) Know and set the exact location of the problem.
3) Provide details of the problem so NBC know how to fix it.
4) Enter your contact details so that NBC can contact you about the problem if need be.
Alternatively, if you have an iPhone, iPad or Android device you can report issues via the “Northampton” app.
To do this simply search for ‘Northampton Borough Council’ in the iStore or Play Store and the App will be the first search result.
Once downloaded, simply go to the ‘report’ tab to report any problems you may have.
Using the App you can pinpoint the location of the problem, take a picture of the problem, and it also gives you options which will mean you can be kept updated with NBC’s progress on the issue you have reported.
