Having returned from Afghanistan, The Queen's Royal Lancers conducted a military parade through Northampton and I joined large crowds watching and applauding them through the town as they took the salute at the Guildhall.
Last Sunday, Northampton also hosted the Royal British Legion’s Honour Walk and Family Day at The Racecourse. This was a great day out and there was a real sense of community with people of all ages in attendance showing their support for our service men and women.
This year marks 100 years since the start of World War One and as such the nation will be commemorating those who fought for King and Country during that awful conflict.
