n the House of Commons last Tuesday, I raised with the Minister of State at the Foreign Office the success of British exports, and highlighted one of the largest employers in Northampton North, shoemakers Crockett and Jones, who export their high-quality shoes to the USA, Japan and Europe.
I praised the Government’s overseas advertising campaign, which emphasises the GREAT in Britain and British products, services and skills. The GREAT campaign has proven successful in promoting quality British goods which we can export around the world, and is now deployed in 144 countries.
The more exports, the more local jobs created in Northampton, and the more the British economy benefits.
