I was very pleased to attend a Caring and Sharing Trust special event at Cotton’s Farmhouse in the village of Cogenhoe, just outside Northampton.
The Caring and Sharing Trust is a charity, established in Northamptonshire for 30 years, which helps people with learning difficulties and works with them, their families, carers and care professionals. It is a place where people who live with learning difficulties can go to relax, find friends and acceptance. It has a library, therapy rooms and an art studio and the farmhouse is full of wildlife and even an orchard.
The charity is renowned for its pioneering use of arts-based learning and therapy programmes.
The wonderful people who run the charity work very hard and I was very happy I had the opportunity to go and lend my support.
