I was proud to perform what I consider to be one of my most important duties of the year when I represented the residents of Northampton North at the annual ceremony of Remembrance at All Saints' Church and laid a wreath to honour the Fallen.
There was a moving service at All Saints' Church followed by two minute’s silence outside at the War Memorial, and then a Parade past the Mayor outside the Guildhall.
There were large crowds lining the streets to pay their respects and this year marks the centenary of the start of World War I.
Afterwards I joined around 300 people for a great curry lunch at the Territorial Army centre on Clare Street.
