Recently I visited the Northampton Community Foundation at their offices in Northampton town centre. The foundation is an independent grant-making charity, granting over £1million annually in Northamptonshire and it aims to help improve the county’s most disadvantaged communities.
The Northampton Community Foundation deals with a variety of important issues; including, child poverty, unemployment, homelessness, and domestic violence. The government strives to support all these issues and is grateful for the good work done by the foundation.
All donations and funding for the Northampton Community Foundation go towards assisting the most disadvantaged communities in Northamptonshire. As one of 47 Community Foundations across the UK, the Northamptonshire branch contributes towards giving back to local communities nationwide.
I was delighted to meet Rachel McGrath, the CEO of Northamptonshire Community Foundation, to discuss the important work they carry out for the people of Northampton.
I am pleased that in my 12 years as Member of Parliament for Northampton North I have had the opportunity to visit many charities. I first visited Northamptonshire Community Foundation seven years ago, in 2015, and I am pleased to see that they are working hard on these important issues.
