In the last two weeks I was delighted to get stuck in to an interfaith project where around 100 volunteers from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and members of the Sikh Community gathered together to help clear overgrown land and paint a fence.
Some of this land is apportioned to be the site of the new Sikh temple, the Gurdwara. It was impressive to see the community spirit and hard work being done by the volunteers, young and old.
This is just one of many events that show how well the different faith groups in Northampton co-operate and work together on projects that benefit each other and the town as a whole.
I am always happy to support all faith groups in Northampton, especially when they are involved in community projects such as this.
Northampton North residents of all faiths, and none, can be assured of my continued support.
