On Saturday 26th November I got another opportunity to celebrate religious diversity: when I attended the Plymouth Brethren Church’s ‘Open Day’ in Northampton together with the Mayor of Northampton.
The Plymouth Brethren Church is a religious group that dates back to the early nineteenth century. Amongst other things, the Church believes that the Bible is the supreme authority for church doctrine.
The Church holds an annual ‘Open Day’ in which its members come together to meet with others in the community. I have attended this event in previous years and I have always enjoyed myself when meeting and talking to members of this Church – I also tried my hand at making some food as you can see from the photo!
