Would you like to come and visit the Houses of Parliament?
As your Member of Parliament I can arrange tours of Parliament for constituents for FREE (travel and other costs must be met) and would be happy to help organise a tour for you. Whether you want to visit on your own or with family, friends, workmates, classmates or teammates- I can help sort it for you!
Groups are a maximum of 25 in size, but the smaller your group the more chance there will be space on a tour (tours are rarely exclusively just for your group so you may well be taken around alongside others).
The tours are organised by the Central Tours Office in Westminster and are run by professional tour guides. They will take you around the 1,000 year old Westminster Hall, Central Lobby, St. Stephen’s Corridor and, if the Commons and Lords are not sitting or debating at the time, then you can also visit the Chamber of the House of Commons and the House of Lords.
Tours are often booked well in advance so it can take a bit of planning and organisation to find a date which is free and works for you. But hearing from many of my constituents who have visited Parliament, it is well worth the wait!
Tours are completely FREE Monday- Friday, and as MPs tend to debate in the afternoons and evenings, mornings are usually better as the Commons Chamber will be open to visitors. The official starting times for tours are:
Monday: 9.00am – 11.45am
Tuesday: 9.00am – 11.45am
Wednesday: 9.00am – 9.45am
Thursday: No Tours
Friday: 3.30pm – 5.00pm
I am very happy to arrange visits for residents of Northampton North. (To check if I am your MP please put your postcode into this website)
If this sounds like something in which you would be interested please contact my office on this email address- michael.ellis.mp@parliament.uk and I would be happy to make arrangements.
