On Friday 11th March, I was invited to visit Sheraton Close, a residential provider of independent retirement housing in the Headlands area of Northampton. Built in 1987, Sheraton Close currently has 57 bungalows, including mobility and wheelchair-standard properties.
I was very pleased to see how Sheraton Close supports inclusive, independent living for its residents with regular social activities taking place, such as the weekly coffee morning.
During my visit I took questions from residents on various topics, such as the parking in the local area and on the issue of waste disposal on the Close. Following this I have written to the council to see what can be done to resolve these issues and I will continue to support its residents wherever I can.
