In the last fortnight, I attended a meeting of the Northampton West Rotary Club at which I spoke with the members about a variety of current affairs issues ranging from Brexit to my role as Member of Parliament for Northampton North.
The Rotary Club of Northampton West was founded in 1969 and in its 48 year existence it has been a source of enjoyment to its members as well as being of great benefit to the community at large.
I have visited in previous years and I know that members of the club, who come from a wide array of backgrounds and social interests, do such good work in the community, using their professional and organisational skills to help community projects and charities in Northampton. Their work in assisting projects and charities in our community is vitally important and of course many readers will know of their work to arrange the annual Dragon Boat race every year in Northampton which raises many thousands of pounds every year. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for this ongoing support for the community.
