I was delighted to return for my annual visit to Headlands Primary School, where I talked to the Year 6 pupils about parliament and the legal system.
I was very impressed by the children’s intelligent questioning and their understanding of politics and current affairs, which is a credit both to the children themselves, and to the teaching staff at the school.
It also gave me the opportunity to spend time with the school’s head teacher, during which we discussed the arrangements for the school’s annual tour of Parliament, which will take place in the coming months.
I am always happy to arrange tours of Parliament for my constituents or schools from Northampton North wishing to visit – particularly ahead of Parliament’s closure for refurbishment in a few years’ time.
