In the last two weeks I organised for around twenty journalism students from the University of Northampton’s Journalism School to be given a tour of the Houses of Parliament. Prior to the tour, I spent an hour engaged in a Q&A session with the students, answering their questions.
I thoroughly enjoyed speaking with the students and answering questions on a whole range of subjects from my role as an MP and my duties in Northampton North and in Parliament.
I have always encouraged young people to become more engaged in politics and I hope the visit and subsequent Q&A session with me has inspired the students of the University of Northampton to have an interest in political affairs.
Westminster Palace is a truly magnificent building with an intriguing history and I regularly, on request, arrange for residents of Northampton North to attend tours of Parliament.
