On Thursday, 29th June I was invited to Buckingham Palace to watch the annual Award Ceremony for the 2017 recipients of The Queen’s Young Leaders Award in the presence of Her Majesty The Queen.
The Queen’s Young Leaders programme was created to discover, celebrate and support exceptional young people from across the many countries of the Commonwealth. The programme receives hundreds of applications from hugely talented young people, all dedicated to making a lasting change in their own community and beyond. The programme helps young people tap into their talent.
This year, there were two winners from the United Kingdom: both working on campaigns to help people who have experienced bullying. They, along with others from all over the Commonwealth were presented their awards by Her Majesty. You can read more about the Queen’s Young Leaders Award here: https://www.queensyoungleaders.com/.
It was very encouraging to see just how talented these young people are and to hear about the great work they have been doing.
