I am now well into my fourth year as a member of the Home Affairs Select Committee in the House of Commons, which is a cross-party committee that look into matters of importance relating to Home Affairs, such as policing. The Committee questions leading figures and provides oversight on behalf of the public.
Last week Mrs Theresa May MP, the Home Secretary, came before the Committee to answer questions about her duties, and answered a series of questions I put to her. We also heard from Sir David Normington, who is the author of a report into the Police Federation. He is calling for major reform of the Police Federation.
