Some of you may have already read in the Chronicle & Echo that I am signed up to compete in Strictly Northampton’s Dancing competition on Saturday, 22nd November at the Derngate Theatre!
I can assure all readers that I cannot dance at all and I am a blank canvass for when full rehearsals begin next weekend! Dancing in front of a nearly a thousand people is a little nerve-wracking but I am very willing to give it a go for a good cause.
Every year the competition raises more for the Cynthia Spencer Hospice Charity, our superb, world class hospice in Northampton for people needing palliative care.
I have visited several times, the last time with Lord Maurice Saatchi, with whom I am trying to pass the Medical Innovation Bill through the Houses of Parliament- this Bill would unshackle doctors in very specific circumstances who would have more freedom to innovate to help find a cure for cancer.
The excellent staff, their professionalism and care are exemplary and I am very proud to have them in my constituency.
I hope to raise money in sponsorship for this dancing competition and if you would like to help Cynthia Spencer Hospice continue their good work please consider a donation via JustGiving by clicking here.
