On Friday, 2nd March 2018 I was invited to meet members of the Bahá'í community in Northampton to learn more about their faith.
The Bahá'í faith is a religion founded in the nineteenth century in Persia which teaches about the essential worth of all religions and promotes the unity and equality of all people. I completely agree with the sentiment that no matter our faith that we are all equal and should all work together for the benefit of the community.
I watched a visual-audio presentation about their beliefs and enjoyed chatting about their vision of unity and equality with members of the Northampton Bahá'í community. I have always looked to promote freedom of religion and I believe that our diversity makes Northampton stronger, a fact I often celebrate by meeting many different community and faith groups in the town.
