On Saturday 1st July 2017 I attended Broadmead Baptist Church in Northampton for a summer garden festival to celebrate 85 years since the Church was built.
In the 1920’s the site of the Church was given to the Baptists so there could be a Christian presence in the area. The Church continues to offer help and support for the community 85 years later.
Now money has been raised to build a new structure on the site which will better serve the needs of the community. I heard how some of the fixtures and fittings are to be reclaimed.
It was a pleasure to attend the event and I look forward to continuing to meet Northampton residents of all faiths and beliefs.
