I was pleased to be invited to re-launch the branch of the Age UK shop in St Giles’s Street, Northampton. This branch first opened 25 years ago as Age Concern, and Age UK Northamptonshire held an event to celebrate 25 years of trading at that location.
Many of the charity’s local trustees and managers attended the event and I had the pleasure of saying a few words, discussing the great work that Age UK do for some of my constituents and people across the county and to thank them for their service to the community.

Age UK Northamptonshire is a wonderful charity which enables older people across the county to enjoy their later years. They provide services ranging from charity shops to raise money, to wellbeing centres around the county which allow elderly people to take part in activities and meet new people in a safe environment. I am always happy to support their work.
