On 14th December 2016 I went to St Margaret’s Church at Westminster Abbey where I attended the annual Parliamentary Carol Service.
The venue for the Service itself was spectacular; the Church of St Margaret is situated in the grounds of Westminster Abbey on Parliament Square and is the Anglican parish church of the House of Commons in London – it is dedicated to Margaret of Antioch.
In a year which has seen some turmoil in many quarters of the globe, and the persecution of Christians in many parts of the Middle East and elsewhere, the Christian faith is a beacon of hope and peace for many around the country and around the world.
The Parliamentary Carol Service this year was in aid of Westminster Medical School Research Trust. The Trust is a wonderful charity that funds much needed research in all areas of medicine in order to save lives.
