Over the past five years I have been pleased to organise hundreds of tours of the Houses of Parliament for individuals, families, groups, students and many others. Several visits have been organised for The University of Northampton Youth and Childhood Studies classes.
The Tours include Westminster Hall, The House of Commons and the House of Lords as well as much in between in the historic Palace of Westminster.
After student tours, whenever possible I meet with the classes to take a Question & Answer session for up to an hour, and I have been very happy to take questions on everything from teaching, my MP’s expenses, to my view on Prime Ministers Questions!
Many of these Youth and Childhood students will go on to become teachers and their sense of public duty, service and dedication is commendable.
Tours can often take some time and patience to organise because of the heavy demand and availability in Parliament, but if I am honoured with re-election as MP for Northampton North on 7th May, I will always be happy to arrange more tours for constituents.
