100 Years On: Michael Ellis MP Remembers the Fallen

Sunday 11th November 2018 marked 100 years to the day of the Armistice which ended World War I. The Armistice, signed between the Allied Powers and Germany came into force at 11.00am on 11th November 1918.

Michael Helps Save No 19 Bus Route

Following mounting public pressure, Uno buses have now announced they will restore the number 19 bus route, which served Kingsley Road and Boughton Green Road. The service was removed with little notice on Sunday 5th August, inconveniencing many of my constituents, especially the elderly.

Michael Meets Pupils at Kingsthorpe College

On Friday, 2nd November I once again visited Kingsthorpe College in my constituency of Northampton North. I have visited the College on many occasions, most notably some three years ago in January 2016 when I brought the then-United States Ambassador to the UK to visit the school.

As the Tourism Minister I have inevitably been up and down the country visiting the best that this country has to offer tourists and recently I was pleased to visit a tourist spot here in Northamptonshire: Holdenby House.

Michael Calls for Bus Route to be Restored

At the beginning of August some sections of the No 19 Violet bus route were cut by the Uno bus company – these sections, namely Kingsley Road, Kingsthorpe Grove and Boughton Green Road are vital for many of my constituents, some of whom are elderly and would struggle to travel otherwise.
