As part of Great British High Street week I visited several retail stores in Northampton. I went to Weston Favell Shopping Centre and St Giles’s Street to meet shopkeepers and show my support for British retail.
I attended a wonderful dance show at the Castle Theatre in Wellingborough which was produced and performed by local dancers from the Dexterity Dance Company based in Great Houghton, Northamptonshire and run by Estha Jones.
Many residents have contacted me about the recent appearance of illegal traveller encampments around Northampton, particularly in Abington Park and Kingsthorpe Recreational Ground, and the Councillor for Kingsthorpe North has also been in touch.
On Friday, 8th June, I met Cllr Jonathan Nunn, Leader of Northampton Borough Council (NBC), and the new Chief Executive, George Candler, and took the opportunity to raise with them some important constituency issues.
On Friday, 8th June I attended the exhibition “It’s a Beautiful World – Through the Eyes of Caroline Scattergood” at the Caring and Sharing Trust in Cogenhoe, Northamptonshire. I really enjoyed my visit as I always do when I visit this wonderful charity.
