On Saturday I took part in the fifth annual Strictly Northampton Dancing Competition raising money for the Cynthia Spencer Hospice in Northampton.
I was very happy to just take part in something completely different for me, and somewhat challenging, for a good cause.
Thanks to everybody who donated; I am delighted that I raised well over £5,600 for Cynthia Spencer on my Just Giving page. (With Gift Aid taken into account my total is above £7,000!!)
You can still donate if you would like to, via my Just Giving page.
I would like to thank Doris my dance partner (she is an excellent teacher at the Step by Step Dance School), and all those who were there to support all of us on the evening; the staff at the Derngate, the Chronicle & Echo, BBC Radio Northampton and all those who helped arrange the event.
Around £30,000 was raised in total and I know the money will be put to good use at Cynthia Spencer.
