I had an important meeting in the last fortnight with Dr Sonia Swart, the Chief Executive of Northampton General Hospital and other NGH leaders, alongside my colleague David Mackintosh MP.
Northampton General Hospital provides crucial front-line health and care services for our town, and its nurses and doctors and support staff work incredibly hard and with enormous dedication serving our community.
Our economy is continuing to improve and the demand for an efficient and caring health service remains constant. The Government has therefore committed to increase funding for the NHS, and I am ready to work with all those involved in the running of our excellent local Hospital, to ensure that this money is allocated in the most effective ways, so that we can continue to improve the infrastructure of our Hospital and the service provided.
Northampton General Hospital is a key priority for me as MP for Northampton North, and I will work hard to support NGH in the coming months and years. The fight continues for more funding to improve our hospital, which lies in the heart of the town that it serves. I look forward to working further with Dr Sonia Swart and others to deliver this.
